How to convert JPEG to JPG

Are JPEG and JPG different formats?

No. .jpeg and .jpg are filename extensions for the same image format. Renaming a copy is enough if you only need a .jpg extension. Using this converter also re-encodes the image and removes embedded metadata.

Is converting to JPG lossless?

No. This tool re-encodes images as JPEG, which uses lossy compression. A high quality setting can reduce visible changes but does not guarantee identical pixels or a smaller file. Keep your original if you need its quality or metadata.

Can I process multiple files?
